EMCO Warehouse

Oakcrest Park Estates Ltd., a Victoria-based holding company and investor in industrial properties, is developing a turnkey warehouse for EMCO, one of Canada’s largest plumbing supply companies. The 10,000 square foot warehouse includes administration offices and a showroom. The building’s structure is one of Canada’s first mass timber warehouses utilizing CLT mass timber technologies.

The speed and accuracy of installation was impressive, taking only two weeks to erect the CLT panels.

The 5-ply panels, supplied by Katerra, were all prefabricated off-site to a one-millimeter tolerance and are combined with glulam post and beam, as well as conventional wood framing techniques to provide an efficient and handsome solution.
